Did Bruce Willis just get diagnosed with dementia?
He just did. Bruce Willis ’ family has released a statement earlier today to share the sad news with the world. Initially Willis had retired because he had been suffering from aphasia, but a more recent diagnosis determined he has frontotemporal dementia. His wife, Emma, wrote: "Since we announced Bruce's diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce's condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD)," she continued. "Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."
